DNA Adducts Analysis (Using 32P-postlabelling and High Performance Liquid Chromatography) The 32P-postlabelling method facilitates DNA adduct analysis. It employs specific labelling of DNA adducts by the 32P isotope. Labelled adducts are subsequently separated using TLC (thin layer chromatography). DNA adducts are created by covalent binding of a chemical compound to DNA. These compounds may include polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons contained in tobacco smoke or polluted environment. Adducts can even cause cancer if not repaired in vivo. Creation of Presentation Posters and Slides |
